Lasan to open 'Nosh and Quaff' lobster and beer bar

Award-winning restaurant group reveals details of its latest venture which will open in Colmore Row in May

Award-winning restaurant group Lasan has revealed its plans for its latest venture in Birmingham.

The group, which in 130 Colmore Row, says it will be called 'Nosh and Quaff' and focus on lobster and beer.

It will join a growing list of bars and restaurants in the Colmore Row area including Pure Bar and Kitchen, The Bureau and Chung Ying Central as well as

Lasan Group already owns the award-winning Lasan in the Jewellery Quarter, Hagley Road's Argentinian restaurant Fiesta del Asado and Indian street food café Raja Monkey in Stratford Road.

Owners Aktar Islam and Jabbar Khan say they plan to open Nosh and Quaff in May.

They are keeping their cards close to their chests but have revealed some key details about the £1 million transformation of the landmark Grade II-listed building which

Mr Khan said: "It's a simple concept that I think the food lovers of our city will greatly appreciate. This is a landmark building and a really exciting venue but simplicity will be at the heart of it."

The owners say they are devising the concept to complement neighbouring bars and restaurants.
