A £100 million regeneration project creating hundreds of new homes in Nottingham has taken an important step towards completion.

Blueprint Regeneration, the developer delivering the Trent Basin scheme, has sealed a deal to buy the final tranche of land which will allow it to complete the development.

Trent Basin is a residential development, which is part of the 250-acre Waterside regeneration area located along the banks of the River Trent.

Once complete it will consist of 400 two, three and four bedroomed apartments, townhouses, mews houses and waterfront properties, designed around the historic industrial inlet of Trent Basin.

It is central to Nottingham City Council’s vision to develop new and connected neighbourhoods along the river while preserving wildlife habitats and creating new green, communal spaces.

New transport links, cycle and pedestrian routes for the area are in progress as are plans for a new primary school at Trent Basin; expected to open in the next two years.

Phases one and two are already complete with over 90% of the low energy homes sold.

Work on phase three began just before Covid-19 lockdown measures came into force and is currently temporarily suspended.
