Runaway motoring success story Jaguar Land Rover is celebrating record 海角视频 sales for the key month of September 鈥 with a major 13 per cent upsurge.

Land Rover alone enjoyed its best ever September with 10,769 vehicles registered, up 11 per cent on the same month last year and 13 per cent year to date.

Meanwhile, Jaguar turnover rose by 7.5 per cent with total sales of 3,181, compared to last year鈥檚 figure of 2,962.

Land Rover鈥檚 record month was driven by increases across the range, including a 30 per cent rise for the oldest 4x4, the Defender, and continued strong sales of the all new Range Rover, up 24 per cent compared to the same period last year.

The Halewood-made Range Rover Evoque was up 35 per cent on September 2012 while the new Range Rover Sport clocked up a strong start with sales of 1,309 vehicles in only its second month of customer deliveries.

At Jaguar, the XF led the way with 2,523 sales, the XJ and XK sold 262 and 168 respectively and the new F-Type sports car 228.

The 7.5 per cent sales rise by the Castle Bromwich manufacturer added to an overall 19 per cent increase in Jaguar sales so far this year, including 1,000 海角视频 sales of the new F-Type. Meanwhile, sales of the XF and XJ were up 12 per cent and six per cent respectively.

Jeremy Hicks, Jaguar Land Rover 海角视频 Managing Director, said: 鈥淲ith the recent introduction of the all-new Range Rover Sport and F-TYPE coupled with the continued success of our well established models, we have seen more new customers than ever purchasing Jaguar Land Rover award-winning products.鈥

Peter Gallimore, partner at business advisers Deloitte in Birmingham, said: 鈥淪eptember is generally the second busiest month of the year for 海角视频 car dealers; however, these figures indicate the best monthly sales in five years.鈥

* The total market was up 12.1 per cent to 403,136, while Longbridge-based MG 海角视频 was up to 104 from 72.
