Eastern Airways is returning a summer service to Jersey from its Humberside home.

The regional airline will touch down in the Channel Islands next month, with a 45 per cent increase in capacity on previous years as demand is expected to soar due to current travel restrictions.

The weekly flights are operated in partnership with CI Travel Group and Premier Holidays, and it comes just days after the company touched down in Gibraltar on a new route from Southampton.

Eastern's general manager, Roger Hage, said: "Given the 海角视频 staycation growth, especially for this summer, we are bringing this popular service back to Humberside.

鈥淎s passenger confidence increases following the 海角视频鈥檚 relaxation of restrictions, we want to ensure the right services are being offered. Eastern Airways is all about supporting the regions of the 海角视频, connecting people and places, so commencing Jersey will offer a welcome 海角视频 break destination from Humberside.

鈥淩ecent new leisure additions such as Gibraltar from Birmingham and Southampton and Newquay from Leeds-Bradford, while both restoring and adding further services at hubs we already serve, are another crucial part of increasing connectivity and aiding economic recovery.鈥

It will operate between June 19 and September 25, with fares from 拢84.99 for the one hour 40 minute flight. Teesside to Jersey will also be operated from May 29, again weekly on Saturdays.
