Hull's 30,000 sq ft new food hall aims for two million visitors - with the first to be welcomed next month

HoH Food Hall will open in time for the Christmas build-up.

Hull’s eagerly awaited HoH Food Hall is to open early next month, with the aim of bringing in two million visitors a year.

The new city centre concept is based in the heart of the Hammonds of Hull building, the major redevelopment of the former House of Fraser store.

Doors will open ready for the Christmas run-in, with those behind the project giving more details as the final month of preparation begins.

It will boast a “vibrant collection of dining, organic grocery, retail, food, music and art offerings, including artisanal food and beverage stations”.

More than 200 local jobs have been created in a “community of foodies, creatives and emerging artists”, with the 30,000 sq ft space featuring more than a dozen different venues, such as the Vinyl Lounge, the Tin Man Bar, 1821 Cocktail and Coffee and Vino Deli.

Eann Smith, creator and operator of HoH Food Hall said: “With the help of the building owners, we have managed to create a destination that Hull can be proud of proud of.

“HoH is a hive of local producers, makers and bakers. We aim to attract two million visitors a year and breathe life back into the city centre.
