One of the largest housing providers in the South of England has rebranded.

Radian Group, which manages 35,000 homes across the South West and South East of the country, has changed its name to Abri - meaning ‘shelter’.

The announcement comes nearly a year on from the partnership of Radian and Yarlington in November 2019.

The organisation has also launched a new strategy, including plans to build 10,000 sustainable homes over the next 10 years.

It also said it would invest a further £215million in its existing homes to make sure they are sustainable.

Gary Orr, group chief executive at Abri, said: “We have been working closely with our customers and stakeholders to shape the direction of Abri and understand more fully what is expected from us as a landlord and service provider.”

According to Mr Orr, the rebrand was a “natural step” in the organisation’s plans to further invest in its homes, customers and communities.

“Abri means ‘shelter’ and that’s exactly what we’re committed to doing,” he said.
