º£½ÇÊÓƵ housebuilder Vistry Group has acquired a plot of land on the northern edge of Hullavington, near Malmesbury in Wiltshire, and is planning to build 71 homes.

Located off The Street, the 5.57-acre greenfield site has planning permission for the homes already and will include a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom properties.

The development will also feature public open space and a play area, as well as land for an extension to the neighbouring primary school, Vistry said.

Rachael Humphreys, regional land director at Vistry Bristol North East, said: “We’re delighted to secure this fantastic development site, where we will deliver 71 well-designed homes under the Bovis brand. We will work with the local authority and hope to achieve a detailed planning permission this year – starting on site in early 2025.”

Hullavington is a small village which lies four miles from Malmesbury and 5.5 miles from Chippenham. It has a garage, shop, village hall, pub, church, nursery and primary school.

Ms Humphreys added: “We’re always looking for good places to build and the development site in Hullavington will provide high-quality homes in a strong location. Vistry has land nearby in Bath, Paulton, Westbury, Lyneham, Chippenham, Devizes and Wanborough, so Hullavington will be a great addition.”
