A South West housebuilder has acquired a 4.75-acre site in North Somerset for 70 new homes.
Allison Homes' £30m development in Congresbury will include 49 three- and four-bedroom detached houses, ranging from 958 to 1,421sq ft, and 21 affordable properties.
The completion of the land deal is expected next month, while a reserved matters planning application is due to be submitted to North Somerset Council in the autumn. Construction work on the scheme is set to begin early next year.

With North Somerset facing ongoing housing pressure, this development offers a balanced and well-considered neighbourhood.”
The site is being brought forward in collaboration with land managers OG Group and already has outline planning permission.
Under the plans, Allison Homes has committed to various infrastructure and community investments including £480,000 towards school and public transport, as well as sustainable travel incentives.
An estimated £700,000 will also be spent on Community Infrastructure Levy and there will be a new children's play area; improved public rights of way; bat mitigation next to Millennium Green; and a new pedestrian crossing on Brinsea Road to connect residents to local services.
The development is expected to support around 278 jobs and contribute more than £2m in tax revenues, while injecting more than £500,000 into local infrastructure, Allison Homes said.

The Congresbury site adds to Allison Homes’ growing South West portfolio as the company targets delivery of 2,000 homes a year across England.
