Historic Llandudno seafront hotel appoints new general manager for first time in 25 years

Nathan Cousins has taken on the job at the St George's Hotel as Tony Burns moves to a new role after more than two decades in charge

An historic Llandudno hotel whose guests have included Winston Churchill has appointed a new general manager for the first time in 25 years.

Nathan Cousins, who joined the hotel in 2007, has taken up the role, with Tony Burns becoming group operations director of the Anderbury Hotel Collection after over two decades at the helm of the St George.

Mr Cousins started at the hotel as sales and marketing manager and then became group sales and marketing manager for the Anderbury Hotel Collection which includes St George’s Hotel and the two other properties, Rowton Hall Hotel & Spa in Chester and Hatherley Manor Hotel & Spa in Gloucester.

Mr Cousins said: “I’m excited to be taking on the role of general manager at the iconic St George’s Hotel and I am looking forward to continue working with such an experienced and enthusiastic team.

"I have loved working at St George’s Hotel over the last 14 years and I look forward to continuing to build on the hotel’s success as the general manager."

Tony Burns added: “Nathan has been a key member of the senior team for many years and is taking over as general manager at the perfect time.

"After over 25 years in managing St George’s I am pleased to be handing over the managerial reins to him so that I can concentrate on the further development of the Anderbury Hotel Collection."
