Construction equipment and software and services specialist Hilti has announced it will relocate its GB headquarters to central Manchester.
The firm, which employs 200 people at its current headquarters in Trafford Park, will move to Circle Square on Oxford Road, which sits in Manchester鈥檚 鈥榠nnovation district鈥.聽聽
Hilti said it plans to occupy 42,000 sq ft on the second, third and fourth floors of No.1 Circle Square in December 2020.
Matias J盲rnefelt, Hilti Northern Europe and Great Britain managing director, said 鈥渁 more modern head office鈥 will allow it attract international talent.
He said: 鈥淎fter listening to feedback from our workforce we selected No.1 Circle Square as the new home for our GB Head Office.
鈥淭he move marks our commitment to Manchester with its international airport, reputation for innovation, thriving construction industry and great universities.
He continued: 鈥淲e considered many office locations, but none met our requirements better than No.1 Circle Square.
鈥淥ur new working environment will feature spacious open areas, encouraging communication and allowing for more flexible, collaborative and modern working.鈥

Circle Square, a joint venture between Bruntwood SciTech and Vita Group, is set to include 1,700 homes, 1.2m sq ft of workspace and more than 100,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space when completed.
No.1 Circle Square has 11 floors of office space, open plan retail and community areas and coworking, events facilities and shared spaces.
