A tissue factory in Gwynedd that closed this autumn with the loss of 94 jobs has now gone on the market.

Northwood Hygiene in Penygroes, near Caernarfon, announced its decision to close the factory in May.

The company cited a "contraction in market demand" due to the Covid-19 pandemic as a key reason behind the site's closure.

Despite efforts to save the jobs by Unite, local politicians and Welsh Government it closed in October.

The decision has had a devastating impact on the Dyffryn Nantlle community.

Now the 116,000 sq ft factory site has gone on the market with Avison Young and Williams and Goodwin estate agents.
