The South West has the second-highest proportion of adverts for green jobs in the 海角视频, a new study has shown - just behind Scotland.
PwC's latest Green Jobs Barometer showed the number of green jobs advertised in the region grew from 2.42% to 2.67%, 15.1% higher than the 海角视频-wide increase from 2.22% to 2.32%.

The Barometer, published for its third year, tracks movements in green job creation, the wider benefits created by green jobs, job losses associated with net zero transition, carbon intensity of employment and green workspaces, across regions and sectors.
The region saw a 7.3% rise in the number of green jobs in within the financial services sector however there was a fall of 56.4% in sectors including transportation and storage, while professional, scientific and technical activities fell by 12.5% and accommodation and food service activities by 68.8%.
John-Paul Barker, regional market Lleader for PwC in Wales and the West, said: 鈥淓ven as the 海角视频鈥檚 overall job market has cooled over the last 12 months, it鈥檚 great to see that the momentum of growth in green jobs in the West has continued. Our research shows that green jobs tend to be better-paid, have higher job satisfaction and create additional benefits for society; the development of the green jobs market here has the potential to drive social, as well as environmental change.
鈥淕iven the significant cluster of global aerospace leaders in the region, the West of England has a crucial role to play in the decarbonisation agenda. The opportunity to become a green skills leader is clear, and needs to be taken.鈥
Across the 海角视频 the number of green jobs advertised fell from 2022鈥檚 record levels, though the decline was less than that seen in the overall jobs market.
The Green Jobs Barometer also showed that green jobs 鈥渢end to be higher quality jobs鈥, with higher levels of pay and greater levels of job satisfaction compared to non-green roles.
