Google has returned to Birmingham with its Digital Garage project

Tech giant Google is returning to Birmingham with its 'Digital Garage' project.

The US search engine firm is opening the facility in New Street on July 14 where it will offer free, face-to-face digital coaching for six months.

Its return follows a similar project - the first Google Digital Garage in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ at that time.

Google said the hub would deliver 13 new courses and workshops which would build on the small business support previously on offer.

Attendees will be able to select from tailored coaching designed to boost their confidence and help them take the next step in their career alongside advice on how to start and grow a business.

The Birmingham launch will also mark the first stage in a new collaboration between Google and consumer magazine Which?.

The pair are joining forces with the aim of educating consumers and businesses about web safety.

Ronan Harris, managing director of Google º£½ÇÊÓƵ and Ireland, said: "It's an absolute pleasure to return to the city of Birmingham to open our newest Digital Garage.
