General Election 2015: Perry Barr looks safe for Khalid Mahmood, bookies say

Perry Barr MP Khalid Mahmood secured a healthy majority in 2010, and is set to replicate that in the 2015 General Election according to bookmakers

Perry Barr is probably the safest seat in Birmingham according to the bookies.

Khalid Mahmood improved his share of the vote in 2010, securing 47 per cent, and is 100/1 on with Ladbrokes to remain in the seat after the 2015 General Election.

The are considered his closest opposition at 25/1, but it will be an uphill task for Tory Charlotte Hodivala.

The are considered a 50/1 shot, despite safely securing second place in 2010, as are .

Perry Barr has been held by Labour since 1950 for all but two terms before the 1970s. Mr Mahmood has held the seat since 2001.
