Plans for the Belgrave Village scheme - which was given the green light in October - include the construction of 438 new homes comprising two, three and four-bed town houses and one and two-bed apartments designed around courtyard gardens, public realm and a linear park.

Work on the scheme, which will also boast retail space and parking facilities, is due to start in the first quarter of 2022 with an estimated three-year build programme.

The 60-acre development will also comprise new and converted commercial and leisure premises in a new commercial centre, which will include a grocer, retail space, a gymnasium and children's play areas.

Construction of Barrelman's Point is also expected to start early next year.
