One of Birmingham's best-known chefs is opening up a new restaurant in the city after being backed by a pair of entrepreneurs.
Former Michelin star-holder Andy Waters is setting up a new restaurant in Chad Square, Edgbaston, called Waters On The Square.
It will open in the building formerly known as Italian restaurant Pinnochio’s in the autumn, after the chef was financially backed by Black Country entrepreneurs Jim and Adam Driscoll.

Mr Waters, who runs The Queens pub in Belbroughton, Worcestershire, said the new 35-cover restaurant will serve modern British cuisine in a relaxed and friendly setting.
He said: “I always said I would return to Birmingham, it is the place to be as it has such a diverse culinary scene.
“The new restaurant will have a bistro feel and will be relaxed and welcoming. Customers can expect homely comfort food, friendly service and great prices.”
The new venture will be a return to Birmingham for Mr Waters, who left his award-winning restaurant Edmunds last year to go into partnership with the Driscolls at the Belbroughton watering hole.
It is a return to his roots, as Mr Waters was head chef at The Bay Tree restaurant located in Chad Square more than a decade ago.
He will fulfil the role of chef patron of Waters On The Square while Gareth Ward, age 32, who has worked for him for 12 years, will be head chef of the new restaurant assisted by Will Tranter.
