Former Birmingham Post editor returns as publishing director

Marc Reeves re-joins the Post's parent group at an exciting time for the business

New BPM Media publishing director Marc Reeves

Former Birmingham Post editor Marc Reeves has returned as publishing director of parent group BPM Media.

Reeves, who left his role as editor of the Birmingham Post when the title went weekly in 2009, has returned at an exciting time for the group.

It recently launched the Birmingham Post Business Daily tablet paper, and has grown digital audience in all of the key titles, including the Birmingham Mail and Coventry Telegraph.

In the newly-created position he will be responsible for all publishing activity across the Midlands as well as management of the region on a day-to-day basis.

Reeves said: “The opportunity to develop Trinity’s Mirror’s regional titles, to build on the digital strategy and secure even stronger stakeholder relationships, was too much to resist.”

He has been appointed to the newly-created position of publishing director at Trinity Mirror Midlands.

Reeves has established his own public affairs consultancy and helped set up TheBusinessDesk.com’s West Midlands operation in the four years since leaving BPM Media originally.

He will begin his new role on July 29 and will remain a non-executive director of RJF Public Affairs, but will no longer have a day-to-day role.
