A team of seven runners from gym chain Fitness First in Solihull is busy training for the Morrisons Business Challenge next month.

"We are all very much into our running and we're all fitness freaks - at the gym 24/7," said team co-ordinator Kerry Hobbis.

"We have some good runners - Jason in our team is doing the Berlin Half Marathon in a few weeks' time and Intiaz Alahi has been running for several years and done a few halves too.

"Paul Timmins and Intiaz should be the first to finish but I'm not sure who the other two quickest will be - we're really looking forward to it."

Supported by the Birmingham Post, the Great Birmingham 10k is taking place on May 3 and entries are now open.

Any size of company can take part in the Business Challenge and enter male, female or mixed teams which must have a minimum of two men and two women.

Teams must have four to eight runners but a company can enter as many teams as it wishes. All participants must be 16 years of age or over on race day.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three teams in each category. For more details and to enter visit
