Final night at the old Snobs heralds new future for city nightclub

The final night at the old Snobs has been revealed, as owners promise the same unique atmosphere at its new home

The final night at the old Snobs nightclub is little more than a month away – but bosses are promising to recreate its unique atmosphere at its new home.

The Post can reveal the final night at the current home of will take place on Sunday, September 21.

The club is , the former Vudu Lounge, in Smallbrook Queensway, in a £2 million relocation after more than 40 years of loud music proved too much of a problem for its ageing Paradise Circus home.

The first night at the new Snobs, which will hold up to 1,400 people, will be September 24.

The move has been the in the past year, with Snobs holding a of people from Birmingham.

 

Snobs DJ and promoter David Southam said the date was ideal, as it coincides with a new intake of students at the city’s universities.

He said opting for a Sunday meant they could stretch the goodbye across the weekend.

“We were a bit concerned that if we had the final night on a Saturday that too many people would want to come,” he said.
