These are the fast growing companies in the Cardiff Capital Region

Over the last two years the 34 firms have created an additional £267.5m in sales and created 851 new jobs

The fastest growing firms in the Cardiff Capital Region can been revealed.

The companies from the region, covering the ten local authorities of South East Wales,  feature in the Wales Fast Growth 50, 2019, project — which ranks the 50 fastest growing indigenous firms in Wales on turnover growth between 2016-18.

The 34 firms have a combined turnover of £426.9m and employ 1,903.

Over the two year period they collectively grew revenues by £267.5m — an increase of 167.8% — and created an additional 851 jobs.

Cardiff has the biggest number of firms on the list in the region with 18 firms, including the overall fastest growing company in Wales with television and film production company Bad Wolf.

1. Bad Wolf, Cardiff

Bad Wolf is an independent high end TV drama production company based in Cardiff Bay. The company produces ambitious drama productions, such as His Dark Materials, A Discovery of Witches and Industry, which has brought A-list actors and directors to south Wales.

Established in 2015 by former BBC executives Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner, the firm is continuing to sustain exceptional revenue growth, with its latest critically-acclaimed production in fantasy drama His Dark Materials currently on BBC One, a second series is already in post-production.
