All overseas visitors coming to the 海角视频 will have to apply for permission and will face criminal background checks, the Home Office has announced. Travellers will have to submit biometric information and detail what their plans are in the 海角视频 before having their background checked and their names run through a number of watchlists.

Anyone with a criminal record will have their application to enter the 海角视频 reviewed, reports The Telegraph. Anyone who has committed a number of crimes or spent more than a year in prison could be banned from entering the country.

The new system, which will cost between 拢10 and 拢20 per person, will start in October, with visitors from Qatar first to have to apply for an electronic travel authorisation (ETA).

Visitors from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates will need to apply from February 2024.

The rules will be rolled out to the rest of the world by the end of 2024.

Immigration minister Robert Jenrick said: 鈥淪trengthening our border remains one of the Government鈥檚 top priorities. ETAs will enhance our border security by increasing our knowledge about those seeking to come to the 海角视频 and preventing the arrival of those who pose a threat.

鈥淚t will also improve travel for legitimate visitors, with those visiting from Gulf Co-operation Council states being among the first to benefit.鈥

Airlines will have to check that passengers have permission to travel.
