Everards Brewery boss on why it's worth getting involved in the 2022 Leicester Business Festival

Thousands of attendees from more than 1,000 firms expected to take part in hundreds of events

More than 1,000 companies are expected to take part in the 2022 Leicester Business Festival this autumn.

The annual celebration of industry, enterprise and entrepreneurship runs across Leicester and Leicestershire from November 7-18, and will include hundreds of events with thousands of attendees in person and online.

One of the locally-based businesses supporting this year’s festival is Everards Brewery, which brews its own beers for the 150-or-so pubs within its estate.

It was founded in the city in 1849, and now, six generations later, has invested in its home county with its new Everard Meadows brewery on the outskirts of Leicester, near Enderby.

Managing director Stephen Gould said: “As a local independent family business, we’re delighted to be involved with the Leicester Business Festival.

"We strive to nurture local talent with our own team and work with independent business owners running their own pubs.

“Everards are proud to be from Leicestershire, a reason why we have beers dedicated to local landmarks, people or folklore and we aim to promote the region’s strengths whenever possible.

“We have invested in our new Leicestershire home including two new breweries (a large scale and small batch one), offices and beer hall at Everards Meadows next to Fosse Park.
