Elliot Lawless: the ex-Everton FC academy hopeful now changing the face of Liverpool

The story of the man behind various city centre schemes has been told

There aren't many people around who can say they went from Everton FC academy hopeful to property developer at the top of a £1bn development pile.

But that's a boast Liverpool-born Elliot Lawless can make.

Now at the helm of Elliot Group, the 32-year-old is behind the 'triple towers' Infinity project on Leeds Street, as well as various others around the city and further afield.

Elliot’s journey began when he was growing up on the terraced streets of Aigburth.

He soon won a trial with his boyhood football club Everton, and stayed there for two years at the Toffees' renowned academy.

But at the age of 15, he was told he wasn’t good enough to play for , and he would not make it - a moment he described as a turning point.

He said: “You either crumble or you pick yourself up, dust yourself down and crack on. I cracked on.”
