Education and training specialist Learning Curve Group is embarking on its largest ever recruitment drive, which will create around 100 new jobs.

The company, which provides training to around 100,000 learners each year, is looking to add to its workforce of 400 after a sustained period of growth.

The new jobs will cover a range of areas, with many in the North East. Learning Curve recently moved to new offices at Durhamgate, and also has skills academies in Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool, as well as in Manchester and Yorkshire

The recruitment drive has been prompted by an increase in demand for courses within the LCG’s employability teams.

Group director of people Louise Clough said: “Our employability division supports learners who are further away from the employment market by helping them gain entry level - level 2 qualifications and softer skills.

“We have also recently published a white paper - written in association with the Chartered Institue of Personal Development’s People Management Magazine - around apprenticeship levy pitfalls and how to solve them, the distribution of which has prompted an increase in partnerships with a number of large organisations who require support with effectively utilising their apprenticeship levy, naturally resulting in an increase in the number of apprenticeship trainers we employ.

"To keep up with the high levels of recruitment and the increase in applications, our recruitment team is also expanding.”

Recruitment is taking place across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ, but Ms Clough added: “A large proportion of our vacancies are based out of the North East region, providing fantastic career opportunities for local residents. The recruitment drive will also help us continue to transform lives through learning by providing education and training opportunities in local communities.”
