A new campaign is encouraging people to support their local businesses and tourist spots in Hull and East Yorkshire.
The #LocallyYours campaign will highlight some of the fantastic businesses and locations.
It aims to encourage those who live in the area to make the most of their surroundings.
Councillor Dave Craker, portfolio holder for culture, leisure and tourism at Hull City Council, said: 鈥淲e are fortunate to have so many fantastic places and businesses right on our doorstep, and nobody knows this better than the people who live in our region.
鈥淏usinesses have put a tremendous amount of effort into welcoming visitors back responsibly and in accordance with government advice. I urge everyone supporting and visiting our local beauty spots, attractions and businesses to listen to the guidance available to them whilst respecting fellow visitors and staff.鈥
Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY) are inviting businesses to join the campaign and promote themselves through social media using a digital tool-kit and the hashtag #LocallyYours.聽
It follows a call from Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce chief executive Dr Ian Kelly for local spending to rally the recovery.
On the South Bank #LoyaltoLocal has also been launched in North East Lincolnshire, as reported.
Councillor Shaun Horton, portfolio holder for tourism, culture and leisure at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: 鈥淲e have over 1,800 businesses that operate within the visitor economy in Hull and East Yorkshire and the Visit Hull and East Yorkshire partnership are committed to helping our industry bounce back as quickly and as safely as possible.鈥
Visit Britain has also introduced 鈥榃e鈥檙e Good To Go鈥, the official 海角视频 mark to signal that a tourism and hospitality business is following Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines.
Any businesses can apply for the mark.
Emma Kinton, from Hotham鈥檚 Gin School & Distillery, said: 鈥淗ull has a great community of small, independent businesses, like ours, and we鈥檙e proud to be a part of it.
鈥淲e鈥檙e all just starting to get out and about a bit more after the last few months of staying home, and rediscovering what Hull has to offer is something we hope people are excited about.
鈥淲e often hear visitors to our Gin School and Distillery, both local and from further afield, say that Hull is home to so many hidden treasures, and it鈥檚 great that the #LocallyYours campaign will be celebrating the best things to see and do in Hull and the wider region.鈥
