Eastern's summer schedule takes off from Humberside home

Regional airline adds Newquay and Jersey to Aberdeen and Esbjerg to make 2023 busiest year yet at Kirmngton base

Humberside now offers Fistral Beach and the original Legoland, with Roger Hage welcoming the start of summer services.

Eastern Airways launched its Summer 2023 flight programme at its home base of Humberside Airport on Friday, with drizzle and a chill dominating northern Lincolnshire. The first flight to Newquay took off, with up to four services a week being operated to Cornwall through to September.

Saturday flights to Jersey follow from May 13, with the Channel Islands destination adding to the year-round Aberdeen service now operated continuously for 25 years, and the recent Esbjerg addition. This growing Kirmington-based network means Eastern has more routes operating from within site of the airport HQ than any previous year.

Roger Hage, commercial director, said: “Given the 海角视频 staycation growth remains a preference for many; we are welcoming back the Newquay-Cornwall service which complements our East-Midlands and London-Gatwick services to Cornwall with an expanded frequency for this year.

“We have also extended the length of operating season to the popular Channel Island destination of Jersey while continuing to grow the Esbjerg and Aberdeen offer, in what will be a busy 2023 from Humberside Airport.

Esbjerg offers the original Billund Legoland within an hour’s transfer, as well as being the global epicentre of offshore wind for business. Aberdeen also opens up the Scottish Highlands, alongside the oil and gas industry.
