If you care about jobs in Birmingham, vote 'In'.

250,000 jobs in the West Midlands, one in 11, are linked to trade with the EU, which took £12 billion of exports from the region last year - almost half of all exports.

In the last five years, EU countries have invested in 228 West Midlands' projects, supporting over 16,000 jobs.

This region is one of the biggest beneficiaries of EU regional funding.

This leads to vital investment in infrastructure, £340 million for local business start-ups and over £300 million in apprenticeships for young people.

Examples of investment received include £26 million for building the Millennium Point, £3 million for University of Birmingham's biomedical hub and £3 million to renovate Town Hall Birmingham.

Europe also provides cheap loans, including £107 million to build the Midland Metropolitan Hospital, £75 million to upgrade facilities at University of Birmingham and £340 million for Jaguar Land Rover to develop hybrid drive trains.

And Europe funds research, such as University of Birmingham's noble attempt to combat infant liver cancer.
