Diversity in the Boardroom features in Birmingham Post

Special supplement looks at the issues affecting diversity at the top level of companies

The thorny issue of having a mixed boardroom is never far away from the headlines and is addressed

Diversity in the Boardroom looks at how the issue can be tackled and why it is an essential ingredient in any company.

There are forewords from Calum Nisbet, West Midlands regional head of the Institute of Directors, and Karl George who is managing director of The Governance Forum.

Mr Nisbet says that companies too often proclaim to encourage diversity but too few of them actively turn this into real policy.

Mr George says having a diverse boardroom is both morally and ethically imperative while businesses need to make sure dysfunctional boardroom behaviour is tackled.

The pullout is also supported by Trident Group, St Basils and Midland Heart among others.

The supplement can be read in this week's Birmingham Post
