A new housing development scheme on Anglesey has recently started near the Coleg Menai Pencraig campus in Llangefni.

The £9.6m project, which is led by ClwydAlyn in partnership with Anglesey County Council and Welsh Government, will create 60 new affordable homes that will be available to buy or rent by May 2023.

The development by Anwyl will offer energy efficient homes with a range of sustainable technologies, including air source heat pumps that will reduce heating costs and lower the carbon emissions.

Craig Sparrow, executive director at ClwydAlyn, said: “This is an exciting new scheme on Anglesey that will provide high quality affordable homes and will address a key need for housing in the local area as well as provide a great learning opportunity for students from the college.

“Our mission is to beat poverty and ensure that everyone in North Wales has access to excellent quality housing.

"We're delighted to be working in partnership with Anwyl Partnerships and Anglesey County Council to bring the scheme to fruition and meet local demands, as well as boosting local employment."
