A developer has re-submitted a major scheme made up of entirely affordable homes in a partnership with a social landlord.
Macbryde Homes Ltd had previously submitted plans to create 114 homes on land off Alexandra Drive in Prestatyn.
But the application was withdrawn in May.
Now a new 106 home application has been submitted with Denbighshire council.
Stuart Andrew, design and technical manager at Macbryde Homes, said: “Earlier this year, and following discussions with the Council, we decided to temporarily withdraw the proposals for a site adjacent to Alexandra Drive in Prestatyn.
“This was, however, only ever intended as a temporary measure while we put in place alternative proposals for a scheme consisting entirely of affordable homes to be delivered in co-operation with a local social housing provider.
"We’re now in a position to submit that renewed application.
“It has always been our intention to deliver attractive, good quality and financially accessible homes to meet the acute need in the local area, and these new proposals will comprise of a range of affordable properties offered with a range of tenures.
"These proposals are entirely in keeping with the council’s own aspirations of delivering new affordable housing to communities that need it, and so we trust our renewed plans will be met with a favourable response.”
