A developer has launched a quest for land in Staffordshire so it can build new homes.

Walton Homes - which recently completed a six-home development in Tattenhill near Burton - is on the look out for residential land opportunities after seeing the houses sell out in record time.

It wants to build on its success and create more high-spec homes across the county.

Walton Homes director Amy Summerton said that the appetite for homes throughout Staffordshire and Derbyshire had soared during the º£½ÇÊÓƵ's three national lockdowns.

She said: "We have a long history of siting exclusive developments throughout Staffordshire, and those we have located on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border have proved extremely popular in recent years.

"If there is one thing we have learned from the coronavirus pandemic, it is that spending so much time confined to their homes has given people the chance to think about what they want from their property, be it to downsize to a smaller home with access to open countryside, or to look for a larger house with a bigger garden to enjoy.

"We have carried out extensive market research to assess the appetite for homes across the region, and there is no question that people are keen to combine the best of both worlds with an idyllic setting and convenient access links to amenities and busier towns and cities.
