A Derbyshire construction giant has been appointed to deliver what is aiming to be Glasgow’s most sustainable office development.

Developer Fore Partnership, the company behind the new 96,000 sq ft Cadworks office scheme, has appointed Bowmer and Kirkland, which is based at Heage, near Belper, to deliver the £23 million project.

The Derbyshire firm will be the main contractor for the scheme, which is due be completed by 2021.

Cadworks will offer Grade A office space across 10 floors. However, as well as targeting an ‘excellent’ BREEAM rating, the building is also aiming to be one of the best in the country for connectivity.

It is also seeking to offer Glasgow’s most comprehensive facilities for cyclists, including what is said to be the country’s only cycle-in access ramp.

Basil Demeroutis, managing director at Fore Developments, said: “The appointment of Bowmer and Kirkland signals our readiness to start on site and deliver our flagship Scottish development.
