Coronavirus: The North West events cancelled or postponed due to fears over deadly outbreak

Cancellations set to have big implications for businesses across our region

The coronavirus outbreak has wreaked havoc on the world's economy over the past weeks, as the fight against the deadly disease continues.

Events across the world have started to be called off in an attempt to slow or stop the spread of the highly-contagious virus.

But while foreign governments in countries like Italy, France and Spain are banning large-scale events to keep residents safe, the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ is yet to do the same.

Instead, organisers of big events are beginning to call them off themselves, with many rescheduling for later in the year.

 

So far those include Premier League matches and concerts among others.

But as well as these high-profile delays, an increasing number of business events are now being rescheduled - causing widespread disruption set to have significant implications for firms.
