'Climate positive' vehicle leasing firm Vavoom launches in Manchester with dozens of jobs to be created

Firm wants to educate and consult 'on all aspects of electric vehicle adoption'

Jonathan Wise, operations director at Vavoom

A new Greater Manchester-based finance group has been launched aiming to become the º£½ÇÊÓƵ's number one choice for 'climate positive' vehicle leasing and asset finance specialists.

Vavoom wants to "cut its own path" by offering customers an alternative to traditional vehicle leasing and finance that supports the adoption of sustainable electric vehicles (EV) - while preparing the industry for the future.

It hopes to provide a service "based on integrity" - but also one that helps educate and provide consultancy "on all aspects of EV adoption".

The Cheadle-based firm launched last week, and said with the number of EVs on sale in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ rising threefold in the past five years, that trend is set to increase as the º£½ÇÊÓƵ prepares to ban all internal combustion engines in 2030.

Jonathan Wise, former national sales manager at LeasePlan and operations director at Vavoom: “Our predictions for EVs in 2021 and beyond is that we will see a steady rise year on year until 2030, where combustion engines will not be available to buy.

"There are a number of points to consider for both business and personal users when leasing an EV and we are here to help and advise every step of the way.

"Vavoom knows that petrol and diesel vehicles are not great for the environment but we can all play our part with every decision we make. It’s our intention to reduce carbon emissions and raise awareness of the amount of tonnage that some vehicles produce.
