Lonsdale Mews is in Quorn

Clegg Construction has finished a £6 million development in Leicestershire for residential home provider Care º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

The 64-bed purpose-built care home called Lonsdale Mews is located in Quorn, near Loughborough.

Each room features an en-suite bathroom and a section of the building has been “future proofed” to accommodate specialist dementia care.

Other facilities include a choice of themed living rooms and dining rooms, a hairdresser, cinema, library and activity rooms.

External landscaping offers a selection of seating areas and a gazebo that can be used for visitor events.

The design was delivered KWL Architects in South Wales, and the project team included Aecom as project manager and Derby-based Jackson Purdue Lever as the structural engineers.

Clegg contracts manager Dave Swift said: “We’ve really enjoyed working closely with Care º£½ÇÊÓƵ to build the best possible home for its future residents, so we’re therefore delighted to have handed over the project.

“The building combines the familiarity of domestic architecture with the benefits of a contemporary care home.
