Passengers could soon fly to eastern Canada from Manchester Airport as a new route launches in June with carrier Westjet.
The service to Halifax will cross the Atlantic in just more than six hours on the way to Halifax, and five hours on the return making it Manchester Airport鈥檚 shortest long-haul route.
Halifax is the capital of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia and is a major economic centre with a large concentration of government and private sector companies.
The route will offer onward connectivity to Westjet鈥檚 hub in Calgary and the rest of its domestic network including Ottawa and Edmonton.

WestJet already has several routes to the 海角视频 but this is the airline鈥檚 first at Manchester Airport.
Together with WestJet鈥檚 regional airlines, WestJet Encore and WestJet Link, the airline offers scheduled services to more than 110 destinations in North America, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe and to more than 250 destinations in over 20 countries through its airline partnerships.

Four-times weekly flights to the Nova Scotia port city will be operated by a two-class Boeing 737-700 starting on 5 June.
