Building contractor Novus re-opens construction sites across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ

The company says it is the first phase of its coronavirus mitigation plan

Novus has re-opened half of its new-build sites across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ

Building contractor Novus has re-opened a number of its construction sites across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ as it starts the first phase of its coronavirus mitigation plan.

The Stoke-on-Trent-based business suspended all of its construction work four weeks ago in line with the wider nationwide lockdown and to ensure its employees, clients, members of its wider communities and supply chain remained safe – as well as in response to the sector-wide issues around supply chain restrictions and materials and labour shortages.

But now the company, which has an office on Festival Park but operates on a national level, has re-opened around half of its new-build sites following government guidance.

Lee Hartley, operations director at Novus, said: “The safety of everyone involved in our building and maintenance projects is always the top priority for us.

“We’re confident that, by following the government’s guidance around social distancing measures, adapting our working practices accordingly and providing our colleagues with the necessary personal protective equipment, we’re playing our part in keeping people safe at work and delivering building projects across the country.”
