A scheme to help businesses in Bristol and the West of England prepare for Brexit has been named the 'most effective' in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

Business West scooped the 'Most Effective Campaigning' accolade at the annual British Chambers of Commerce awards for its Trading Through Brexit (TTB) scheme.

Business West's TTB was launched in October 2018 to help businesses across the region prepare for life outside of the EU.

TTB centres on a regular video series fronted by Business West's director of policy Matt Griffith, who offers companies practical planning advice.

Businesses are also able to post questions to the Business West policy team via the TTB hub, which are then answered online.

The judges praised TTB for making a "real impact" by helping businesses to "cut through the noise" and get on with business.

Business West has also been working with the West of England Combined Authority’s Growth Hub and the Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Hub to help companies with more intensive support.

Bristol-based business Avon Valley Precision Engineering (AVPE) is among the companies to engage with the TTB programme.
