"We can’t do anything about it so why worry?"

A family-run label printing company in Bristol believes that Brexit is a "massive opportunity" for the business.

Martin Jackson, managing director of Kingfisher, and his son Karl, production director, don't believe the º£½ÇÊÓƵ's withdrawal from the European Union is a problem.

The duo, who own and run the company, along with Martin's wife Jackie and sales director Andy Watts, are optimistic about the opportunities it will bring.

“We can’t do anything about it so why worry?" said Martin. "We have European clients and if we end up with tariffs on materials it’s going to affect everybody, so is it going to make that much difference? I don’t think so."

The company, which turns over £2million a year and employs 22 staff, produces labels for the medical industry and many well-known food and drink brands in most major supermarket stores.

The team moved to its new 10,000 sq ft warehouse site in Yate three years ago and has grown its client base to hundreds of companies, including multinational firms.

“I don’t see as a business that we should worry [about Brexit]," said Karl. "We see it as a massive opportunity. We supply food, drink and medical, and the materials are generally bought in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ. "

Martin added: "A lot of people we deal with want to buy local too. Why would our local customers want to buy their labels from further afield when we are around the corner? Through adversity we always look at opportunities."
