BrewDog lodges planning application to turn city centre office into 'beer hotel'

It will fall under the company's 'Kennels' hotel brand, which features bedrooms located above its craft beer bars

BrewDog has lodged a planning application to turn an empty office building in Manchester city centre into a hotel.

The establishment would be the city's first 'beer hotel'.

The application features plans to turn a three-storey building on Fountain Street - just off Market Street - into 18 en-suite rooms, a ground floor restaurant and a rooftop bar with a fire pit and barbecue area, the .  

Situated across the road from Primark, the site was previously home to Enzo pizza restaurant, but has stood empty for several years.

It will fall under the company's 'Kennels' hotel brand, which features bedrooms located above its craft beer bars.

The first Kennels hotel opened in Aberdeen, joining other BrewDog hotels in the US.

Its plan to bring the concept to Manchester was first revealed .

According to the planning documents, Manchester Kennels will have 18 en-suite bedrooms spread over two floors.
