Lincoln University’s Natasha Turney was crowned Journalism Student of the Year at inaugural Midlands Media Student Awards. She received her award from , herself a former journalism student at what is now Birmingham City University,
Natasha’s award-winning entry, “Death of a Clown,” was a 10-minute film about the difficult times faced by people who run circuses and those who work in them.
The awards, launched to recognise the emerging talent of next-generation journalists and broadcasters, were organised by Cloud 9 Event Management as part of celebrations.
Held at The Studio, Birmingham, they attracted more than 110 entries from media students throughout the East and West Midlands.
