Birmingham has just made it into the top 10 海角视频 destinations for tourists.
But it lags behind the likes of Leeds, Llandudno and Torquay, according to new statistics from an online travel company.
And the only British city to make it into the top 10 world destinations is London.
The lists were compiled by on line travel website TripAdvisor following millions of reviews.
According to list the capital is the top 海角视频 destination followed by Edinburgh. Torquay is third, with Bristol finishing seventh.
Istanbul was the top world destination, followed by Rome with London in third place.
Beijing, Prague, Marrakech, Paris, Hanoi, Vietnam, Siem Reap, Cambodia and Shanghai follow.
In the 海角视频 top 10, Liverpool was fourth and Belfast fifth.
Manchester, Glasgow and Blackpool all dropped out of the top 10.
TripAdvisor spokesman James Kay said: 鈥淭hese awards are based on millions of reviews and ratings by those that really matter 鈥 travellers themselves.
鈥淭here is no doubt the birth of the royal baby helped keep the eyes of the world on London in 2013, but the capital鈥檚 continued appeal among travellers around the world surpasses any one event.鈥
