Aston Martin unveils James Bond's new car

The DB10 is being specially developed for the film Spectre and just ten of the bespoke cars will be built

Warwickshire sports car-maker Aston is developing a special new model for the next James Bond film - the DB10.

The new car is being specially developed for the film Spectre and just ten of the bespoke cars will be built.

The link-up continues a partnership between James Bond and Aston Martin which stretches back 50 years.

The new car will be built in-house at Aston Martin’s Gaydon headquarters by the firm’s design and engineering teams.

The new DB10 was unveiled on the 007 stage at Pinewood Studios at a special event organised by EON Productions, the producers of the James Bond film franchise.

Director Sam Mendes revealed it would be called Spectre. Filming will start next week and the film is scheduled for release in November 2015.

Led by Aston Martin chief creative officer, Marek Reichman, the car-maker’s team worked closely with Mr Mendes, in a bid to create the ultimate car for the world’s most famous spy.

Celebrating the great British brand’s half century with Bond, which started with the iconic DB5 driven by Sean Connery, the DB10 also offers an insight into the future design direction for the next generation of Aston Martins.
