Anwyl Homes reveals huge new neighbourhood plans after buying 20-acre site

First homes at Priory Gardens will be ready next year

How the homes may look

A 20-acre site that will house hundreds of homes has been bought by Anwyl Homes Lancashire.

The Chorley-based business has acquired the land on Liverpool Road South from Crompton Property Developments, it was announced on Wednesday.

The move is Anwyl’s first venture into West Lancashire, and the plot called Priory Gardens will comprise around 270 homes.

The plot is the latest phase of the Yew Tree Farm scheme in Burscough, a 580-home development.

John Grime, managing director of Anwyl Homes Lancashire, said: “Acquiring land at Yew Tree Farm is a major milestone for us.

“It’s a key strategic development site for West Lancashire and gives Anwyl the potential for more than five years of production in this one location.

“Known as Priory Gardens, our development will provide a boost to the local housing supply. It will also add to Anwyl’s continued growth in this, our 90th anniversary year.”

The company’s Lancashire operation already has established developments in Prescot, St Helens and Bowring Park, Liverpool; with homes just launched in Fulwood, and further schemes in Longridge and Barton, near Preston, due to launch.
