Birch Solutions has partnered with a market-leading biogas technology specialist to increase deployment in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

The specialist division of quarry giant Singleton Birch was formed after the long-standing business turned to anaerobic digestion to provide power at the Melton Ross site, adding further satellite operations.

It went on to acquire PlanET Biogas º£½ÇÊÓƵ and is now a leading plant service provider, providing support with operations and maintenance, from cleaning and repairs to optimisation from the North Lincolnshire base.

Mark Sacker, managing director, said he felt Birch was the perfect fit for HoSt due to the expertise within the business and their contacts within the biogas industry.

“HoSt is a big and respected name worldwide and has been pioneering innovative technology in the anaerobic digestion and renewable gas industry for more than 30 years,” he said. “The º£½ÇÊÓƵ has a significant number of small AD plants but with government incentives favouring larger plants in the future, the opportunities for individual plant expansions are significant.
