Plans for 65 new affordable homes in Hull have been revealed.

The £11 million development forms part of the Holderness Road Corridor Area Action Plan and will feature two-, three- and four-bedroom rentals.

The scheme is located on a triangle of largely scrubland opposite the Freedom Centre, bordered by Ryehill Grove, Wyton Grove and Exeter Grove. Durham-based Esh Construction and West Yorkshire based registered housing provider Together Housing Group are behind it, with an application now submitted to the city council.

Esh Construction business development manager, Zoe Cowell, said: “We pride ourselves on maintaining successful working relationships with our clients and we are delighted to be working with Together Housing on a second land led development. An extensive amount of work has gone into developing this scheme to date and I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in getting to this point.”

Designed by Leeds-based Acanthus WSM Architects, the site will include 31 two-bedroom, 28 three-bedroom and six four-bedroom homes which will benefit from private rear gardens and parking. Accessibility and adaptability standards will be adopted for 16 homes.
