Sponsors and organisers of the 2020 LeicestershireLive Business Awards joined a networking breakfast as part of the build to next year’s big night.
University of Leicester’s College Court conferencing centre and hotel venue hosted the annual get-together.
It was a chance for guests to network and find out about the judging process for the awards, which take on the night of April 2, at the Maher Centre in Leicester.
It is one of the biggest events on the Leicestershire business calender.
Joanna Winterton, head of sales and marketing at College Court, welcomed guests and said the team there was proud to have been involved in the awards since 2013.
She said: “This is an opportunity to showcase our facilities but also to support the awards, and the part they play in celebrating businesses within the area.
“Each year they are an opportunity to put Leicester and Leicestershire on the map and reaffirm the fact that the city and county are home to some of the country’s best companies.”
Other speakers were LeicestershireLive editor George Oliver, Reach Plc East Midlands Digital Development Editor Sam Dimmer and Champions sales director David Simms.

The closing date for businesses to nominate themselves is January 3, and then each category sponsor will have the job of reviewing applications and selecting three finalists for each category, before eventually picking the winner.
The annual awards are run in partnership with events, branding and marketing business Champions (海角视频) Plc and College Court has become the established venue for the breakfast over the years.
It boasts 16 meeting rooms, which can accommodate between two and 160 delegates, along with 123 contemporary bedrooms, and offers facilities to accommodate residential and day events as well as private functions.
Located in Knighton Road, Leicester, it is the city’s only purpose-built conference centre and hotel.
