IT and print business FCS Laser Mail has extended its premises and invested in new machinery following a successful year.

The Erdginton-based firm, currently celebrating its 20th anniversary, specialises in multichannel communications such as print services, data management and e-billing.

Following a ten per cent turnover increase in the past 12 months, FCS has expanded its Wood Lane premises by 10,000 sq ft to 42,000 sq ft and will install four new printing, sorting and data management machines.

The £1 million investment was funded with the support of a commercial loan and hire purchase facility from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

FCS Laser Mail has an annual turnover of £8 million, which it said would increase by ten per cent a year over the next three years, and it has added 15 new jobs over the past year, bringing the current headcount to 100.

The business also acquired Nottingham-based Perspektiv in 2012 and is now looking for a new office and warehouse facility in there.

Managing director Mick Fay said: "We've increased our turnover substantially in the past 12 months, which makes now the ideal time to pursue our expansion plans, enabling us to achieve scale and further consolidate our presence in the market.

"We're also looking forward to mirroring this growth at our Nottingham site."
