Octopus Energy is to create hundreds of jobs in Manchester

A range of business located all across the North West have made a host of major job announcements in recent weeks - with thousands of opportunities on offer.

As recovery from the Covid pandemic continues, major employers such as KPMG, Iceland and Octopus Energy are among those to have confirmed they are looking for new hires in Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and further afield.

Octopus Energy

A total of 300 jobs are to be created after Greater Manchester agreed a new partnership with Octopus Energy as part of its bid to become carbon neutral by 2038.

The city region has struck the deal with the group which will see the company trial the uptake of new green energy tariffs for customers in Greater Manchester.

Through the partnership, Octopus Energy will also create 300 jobs in the area, ranging from data scientists and heat pump engineers to frontline customer support.
