A range of business located all across the North West have made a host of major job announcements in recent weeks - with thousands of opportunities on offer.
As recovery from the Covid pandemic continues, major employers such as KPMG, Iceland and Octopus Energy are among those to have confirmed they are looking for new hires in Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and further afield.

Octopus Energy
A total of 300 jobs are to be created after Greater Manchester agreed a new partnership with Octopus Energy as part of its bid to become carbon neutral by 2038.
The city region has struck the deal with the group which will see the company trial the uptake of new green energy tariffs for customers in Greater Manchester.
Through the partnership, Octopus Energy will also create 300 jobs in the area, ranging from data scientists and heat pump engineers to frontline customer support.
Cloud Imperium Games

An international independent videogame developer has announced plans to open a new Manchester base in 2022 and create more than 1,000 jobs in the next five years.
Cloud Imperium Games will open a new development studio in Enterprise City in May 2022, creating more than 700 jobs in the area by 2023.
Founded in 2012 by Chris Roberts, the company's titles include Star Citizen whose voice cast includes Gary Oldman, Mark Hamill, Mark Strong and Gillian Anderson.
The company currently employs more than 700 people worldwide, with 400 employees based at its current 海角视频 studio headquartered in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
Competition and Markets Authority
More than 200 employees of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) are set to be located in Manchester by 2025 after the watchdog announced a new base in the city.
Manchester will be the home of the new Digital Markets Unit (DMU), which has been established to oversee a new regulatory regime for the most powerful digital firms.
The CMA said the DMU’s remit is to "promote greater competition and innovation and protect consumers and businesses from unfair practices".

Sykes H oliday Cottages
One of the North West's largest holiday companies has revealed plans to create up to 200 jobs by the end of 2022 after its revenue and profits surged to record levels.
In an exclusive interview with BusinessLive, Sykes Holiday Cottages' chief executive Graham Donoghue also confirmed talks are ongoing to acquire more businesses alongside his plans to grow the group organically.
The Chester-headquartered group, which is marking its 30th year in business in 2021, currently has 1,000 employees and operates 21,500 properties - 19,500 of which are in the 海角视频.
Iceland
Iceland Manufacturing in Manchester has announced a huge expansion of its business as it looks to recruitment almost 100 new employees across its three shifts.
The recruitment drive comes as production continues to increase with the development and growth of Iceland’s own-label range as well as the expansion of the exclusive Slimming World range available in Iceland stores, online and at The Food Warehouse.
The manufacturing site in Manchester, which is responsible for the production of many of Iceland’s own-label ranges as well as the exclusive Slimming World range, has seen a slew of investment recently across not only recruitment, but also site infrastructure.
KPMG
KPMG has welcomed 160 new graduates and apprentices to its offices in Manchester and Liverpool.
The largest intake of graduates and apprentices in recent years have been appointed across KPMG’s audit, tax and advisory practices.
In Manchester, 127 graduates and 22 apprentices joined the firm in autumn 2021. Half of the graduates joining the Manchester team will be working within technology teams, reflecting the demand for these services and Manchester’s position as one of the 海角视频’s leading tech hubs.
Meanwhile, KPMG’s Liverpool office welcomed seven graduates and four apprentices, all of whom will be working in the firm’s audit function.
CarShop
CarShop Warrington has announced a major recruitment drive as it looks to bolster its team of technical employees.
There are a total of 22 positions up for grabs, with the vast majority of these situated on the preparation side of the business.
Roles include vehicle technician, painter, prepper, de-prepper and SMART repairer.
Ash Integrated Services
An electrical, heating and plumbing services provider is to take on new staff after winning contracts with a North West council.
Ash Integrated Services has created eight jobs after being appointed by Lancashire County Council to provide planned and emergency heating and plumbing maintenance for hundreds of premises in the region.
The Atherton-headquartered company will deliver cover for the mechanical heating systems on around 390 buildings operated by the council in the northern half of the county, including schools, libraries and colleges for the next three years, with an option to extend for a further two.
Genesis Homes
A Cumbria-headquartered home builder has underlined its ambitions for further growth by creating more than 25 new jobs.
Genesis Homes, which was founded in 2017, is on course to reach its target of building 200 homes a year during 2022 and to help it achieve its goal it is creating 26 new jobs in the communities it serves.
Among the job opportunities are eight apprenticeships in bricklaying and joinery at developments in Carlisle, Kendal, Penrith and Workington, as the company delivers on its commitment to help local young people forge careers in the building and construction industry.
Tiger Trailers
Tiger Trailers is recruiting 50 new employees to start work at its facility in Winsford, Cheshire.
The employment drive supports a surge in demand for trailers and HGVs due to the increase in home deliveries and online shopping.
The 168,000 sq ft site – which opened in April 2019 – already employs 213 people and is located on the Winsford Industrial Estate.
Prosperous Life
Cheadle based pre-paid funeral plan provider Prosperous Life is to create 30 jobs.
Group revenues, which include Prosperous Life (PL) pre-paid plan purchases, and revenues contributed by estate planner Prosperous Estate Planning Limited (PEP) are on track for a combined £15m in 2021.
Current joint headcount is up from 100 in 2019 to 160 at the start of November 2021.
