Works starts on 拢39.7m office regeneration in Birmingham

Project on the Brindleyplace estate will combine two addresses in a single new-look building

Work has started on a new £39.7 million office renovation in Birmingham which will combine two addresses into a single building.

The scheme to combine 8 and 10 Brindleyplace, including the former SACO serviced apartments, will create 210,000 sq ft of grade A office space on the mixed-use estate.

The redevelopment has been designed by city practice Associated Architects and is due for completion next summer.

Once home to Royal Bank of Scotland, the complex will have a new modern façade and double height reception space accessed from both Oozells Square and Broad Street.

There will also be large, open-plan office floors with floor-to-ceiling windows and amenities for tenants such as a café, fitness facilities including a bouldering wall and studio, roof terraces, cycle storage for 100 bikes and electric vehicle charging.

The redevelopment is being led by Thamesis Asset Management on behalf of CBRE Global Investors.
